1. ProSquat – Squat counter

This Privacy Policy explains how ProSquat – Squat counter (“the App”) collects, uses, and shares information.

2. Summary

  • We use your camera to detect your squat posture and count squats.
  • If you sign in, we store your account details and can sync your workout data to our server.
  • We show ads to non‑premium users using Google AdMob. Premium users do not see ads.
  • We use Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes and improve stability.
  • We use Firebase Remote Config to remotely control ad unit IDs and on/off flags.

3. Information you provide

  • Account information: name, email address, and profile details (for example: gender, country) when you register or sign in.
  • Workout information: squat counts, workout duration, workout mode, sets/reps/rest time, and timestamps.
  • Support messages: if you contact us, we may receive the content of your message and your email address.

4. Information collected automatically

  • Device & app data: device model, OS version, app version, and performance diagnostics.
  • Crash data: crash reports and stack traces via Firebase Crashlytics.
  • Advertising data: advertising identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID), ad impressions, and interaction data for showing and measuring ads.
  • Network information: basic connectivity status (online/offline) to decide when to sync or load ads.

5. Camera and pose detection (permission use)

The App requests access to the Camera (android.permission.CAMERA) to power the squat counting experience. Camera frames are processed on-device to detect pose landmarks and count squats.

Note: If you choose not to grant camera permission, the squat counting feature may not work.

6. How we use information

  • Provide core features (squat counting, workout tracking, stats, streaks).
  • Sync workouts and group progress to our server when you are signed in and have access (trial/premium).
  • Show ads to non‑premium users and measure ad performance.
  • Prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and improve app stability and user experience.
  • Provide customer support and respond to requests.

7. Ads and marketing (Google AdMob / Google Ads)

The App uses Google AdMob to display ads. Ads may use device identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID), cookies/SDK identifiers, and related data to deliver, frequency-cap, and measure ads.

We may also promote the App through Google Ads marketing campaigns (for example, app install campaigns). Google may process data according to its own policies.

Premium users do not see ads. Trial users may still see ads.

We may share information in the following cases:

  • With service providers: such as Google (AdMob, Firebase) and RevenueCat, to provide ads, crash reporting, remote configuration, and subscription functionality.
  • With our backend: when you sign in and choose to sync workouts/groups, we send your workout data to our API server.
  • Legal and safety: if required by law or to protect users, the App, or the public.

  • Local data: workout history may be stored on your device to enable offline use.
  • Server data: if you sync, we retain synced workout records to provide cloud backup and group features.
  • Crash logs: crash diagnostics may be retained by Firebase for a limited period according to Firebase settings.

We take reasonable measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

12. Children’s privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at brainfleck@gmail.com.

13. Your choices

  • You can sign out of your account from within the App.
  • You can manage ad personalization settings in your Google/Android settings (where available).
  • You can request account deletion (if the App provides a delete account option).
